Tucked away in Marin County, about 30 miles from San Francisco, is the picturesque park preserve known as Point Reyes National Seashore. It's over 71,000 square acres brimming with wildlife, outdoor activity and beautiful natural wonders. Its unique straight coast is unlike anything else and is a popular destination for those looking to get out of the city. The drive in can be winding, but the photo stops along the way are encouraged and absolutely worth it.
Some things to note- the lighthouse visitor center is only open weather permitting and during weekdays. The shipwreck was recently caught on fire and will be removed in the near future. If you can make it out there soon to see what's left, I'd recommend going sooner than later.
