This was SF's first time hosting Swig N' Swine (it's called Pig N' Punch everywhere else) and after this year, it's only going to get bigger and bigger every year. Thrown on by the gentlemen at The Bon Vivants, SNS was fun party and fundraiser for KIPP San Francisco filled with music, punch and amazing eats. Some of SF's top restaurants were there to serve up dishes all based around the almighty pig.
It's hard to narrow down my favorite dish, but I was pretty swayed by Chef Ravi Kapur of Liholiho Yacht Club's spam katsu rice bowl. (Just writing that out is making me hungry again.) I can't wait to see this fun event come back next year, but hopefully at a bigger space. I love SOMA StrEat Food Park, but this event was probably way more popular than anticipated and they're going to need a much larger space next year.
Other restaurants include: Chef Thomas McNaughton of Flour + Water, Central Kitchen, Aatxe, Cafe du Nord & Salumeria / Chef Justin Simoneaux of The Boxing Room / Chef Craig Stol of Delfina, Delfina Pizzarias, Locanda / Chef Joey Elenterio of Cadence
